How To More Than Double
The Marketing Power Of Your
Fitness Newsletter Right Now

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned about marketing with fitness newsletters is to get as much mileage from each article/issue as you possibly can. 

After all, you spent the time writing your newsletter – and for good reason, to promote your fitness business – let’s make sure we leverage that time for all it’s worth. Here’s an easy to follow plan that will more than double the marketing effectiveness and profitability of your fitness newsletters…

1. Turn Each of Your Fitness Newsletter Issues Into a Web Page

E-mails come and go every single day. It’s easy for your fitness newsletter to get buried in the mix. And it’s not like people actually save your e-mails. ;-)

So the easiest way to get more from your fitness newsletter is to simply turn each issue into a separate web page, then just add it to your site.

This lets you get repeat exposure to your articles, and since your newsletter issue is now on a web page, you can place… 

• Google Adwords
• links to your products
• or even links to affiliate products

… right alongside your content, adding an additional revenue stream (or 3) to your site.

Once you’ve created a newsletter web page for each issue…

2. Create a Back Issues Page That Links To Every Previous Issue

Next, let’s make it easy for your subscribers (and potential subscribers) to get to each of your previous issues. Just make a web page called “backissues.html” and use it to link to each and every newsletter issue page you built in step 1.

This gives you a single page that links directly to every article you’ve published. And that not only lets your target market have a field day with all your content (PREselling themselves on your expertise along the way)…

It also gives Google and Yahoo and easy entrance to the most content-rich pages on your fitness website. And those kinds of pages just happen to be the ones they love to rank in their top 10.  

3. Promote Your Back Issues Page

Now that you’ve got an easy access point for all your newsletter back issues (for your prospects AND the search engines), it’s time to let them all know about it.

One thing I’ve seen great success with personally is to place a link to my back issues directly under my newsletter subscription forms. And since I know how much junk e-mail people get nowadays, I word it like this…

“Is this newsletter really worth subscribing to?  Decide for yourself – click here to see all our previous issues…”

This usually overcomes any possible objections ANYONE could have to joining your newsletter list. It also gets them directly into your content and any offers that may be included.

And it’s always a good idea to create an e-mail autoresponder message promoting your back issues link to your new subscribers the day (or so) after they sign up for your newsletter. 

Once again, it brings an interested person face-to-face with your credibility boosting fitness content, and it exposes them to any of your offers for products or services.
